Blackguard searches for treasure, forcing the stolen children to work in the mines. How can the Freedom Fighters save them while still being held captive themselves? And where is Saul, Red’s father—living in ease with the wealthy, or prowling the seas with Blackguard’s pirates?
As they plan, they must keep hidden the truth that Red is a son who carries a calling to free the captives—a calling that puts them all in extreme danger.

J.R. Jespersen grew up on the western Canadian prairies. She has always loved to write, and her desire is to communicate the amazing adventure and destiny of each life within the context of the story. She has worked with her husband in both Malaysia and Germany as house parents to many young people, which they both loved doing. She is the mother of four grown children, and grandmother of ten, roles she greatly cherishes.
