Too often, we think that who we are is defined by what we do.
But that is only part of our story.
Who we are is defined by the things inside of us: our values, our beliefs, our interests, and our life purpose. It's the journey of becoming more self-aware so we can live our most authentic life.
Like Socrates once said, "To know thyself is the beginning of wisdom."
When we know who we are, we stop trying to be like everyone else.
•We are more grounded in our values.
•We know our purpose/
•We live more intentionally and know what to say yes (or no) to.
•We have less inner conflict because what we do lines up with who we are.
Don't let the world tell you who you are.
Do a deep dive into knowing yourself. Start asking yourself why you feel the way you do about things. Explore the things that you are drawn to and why. Do you refuel more around others, or do you need quiet space like me? How easy is it to share the deeper things within you? Or talk about your feelings?
Learn your values, define your beliefs, know your purpose.
